Women are often compared to cats. I wanted to portray the Queen of Spades in an unusual, interesting way, linking her to the black panther — the queen of the jungle. When it comes to the Queen of Spades, many are quick to recall black, dark, hardness of character, predation, power, determination, and confidence. All these qualities are inherent in the panther. This print can be placed anywhere because it depicts an animal and the image of the animal is quite universal.
