The only sign of the zodiac that represents an inanimate object, contains deep symbolism.  The name of this sign is "Libra", unlike most constellations, this group of stars was given not by the ancient Greeks, but by the Roman astronomers of the beginning of our era.

One of the most plausible interpretations of such a name is associated with the day of the autumnal equinox when the length of the day and night coincide.  At present, due to the imperfection of our chronology, the day of the autumnal equinox has moved to the neighboring constellation Virgo, but at the beginning of our era, it fell on the constellation Libra.  On the other hand, the outlines of the constellation can be perceived as the scales that Virgo holds in her hand.

The constellation of Libra, as a rule, is represented in the form of a woman with scales in her hands, this woman is supposed to personify the Greek goddess of justice Themis or the Roman Astrea, weighing the good and evil deeds of people on these scales.

In this illustration, you can see the woman watching on the scales which lighting with the sunlight. The idea was to show how each decision which we make always goes through the scale of “yes’’ or “no”. That all our steps in our life depend on our decision which we made. Don’t forget to remember where you came from and what do you want to bring to this world.
