"Bubbles are one of the universal symbols of celebration and joy, and I wanted to create a simple yet playful, refreshing piece using them combined with my signature black ink side profile portrait -with a subtle, soft smile- which is a subject that I have kept doodling all the time over years. So for this piece, I wanted to melt together a symbol of me as an illustrator, the joy of bubbles with a touch of pink resembling a cheerful glass of pink champagne, and her earring of drawadot's orange dot as the centerpiece, which has brought together artists for 10 years."
